Omar is a Mexican-American student at South El Monte High School. He is a club member

for manufacturing, his GPA is 3.5, he has done community service hours, and both of his parents came from Mexico, which allowed him to receive an education and achieve better financial stability. If you know him, you probably know that he’s a funny and calm person, and he doesn’t get into problems, and he’s always trying his best to raise money for the clubs that he’s in because he cares about everyone in his own way, no matter if you have treated him badly; everyone is a human being. An important lesson he has learned is “Learning who was going to be there for me when I needed it most was an experience that has helped a lot these past years.” Omar’s high school journey has been really chaotic and fun. He said everyone needs to learn to be mature, but also be able to enjoy the life we have.
He’s said that his life hasn’t been easy for him. There have been ups and downs in his life, but he still tries his best to get by and handle the responsibilities he has in his life. An accomplishment that he’s really proud of is managing to get a paid internship at an aerospace company. Another accomplishment is that he’s been getting his grades together and performing well throughout his studies. His future goals are to have a successful career as an aerospace engineer and have enough funds to afford a home and travel around the world. Others can learn from his story because he shows how not everything needs to be boring and lame, but it can always be fun while you’re on task.
