On February 2nd, 2025, the 67th Grammy award show live streamed on major platforms. Showing from the red carpet to the Grammy Awards, where many famous music artists get awards for their music. The Grammy Award Show started on May 4, 1959, in Beverly Hills, California. Many music artists get picked for a category such as album of the year, record of the year, and song of the year. This year was very competitive for these categories.
Several successful artists were nominated this year for the different categories. This year was tough competition for most people. Many artists got nominated for many categories, such as Billie Eilish, who was nominated for 7 awards. As the awards were announced, many people got anxious to see who won in the categories. But there was one particular award that had everyone excited or shocked. The award for this year’s Album of the Year went to Beyonce for her new album “Cowboy Carter.” Some people were happy that she got this award because it marked her first win in this category. The other half was shocked that she got this award.
Some people believed Billie Eilish should have won this award for her new album, “HIT ME HARD AND SOFT,” which was also nominated. These two big artists have done an amazing job with their latest albums and should feel proud of their accomplishments. Many or some people did not take it that way, though. Some people expressed their thoughts on who the winner should be on social media.
Over the years, Beyonce has won 36 Grammys and made some big hits on albums. One of her most famous albums is “Lemonade” with 1,492,667,649 times on Spotify. Billie Eilish has 3 Grammys and has also made some big hits on albums. One of her most famous albums is “When We All Fall Asleep Where Do We Go” with 12,081,023,221 times on Spotify. Both had a great run over the years, even when they first started and made their first song.
Billie Eilish’s brother Finneas posted on his Instagram story saying, “I don’t wanna see ANYONE with a photo of me or Billie as their PFP getting in fights with other artists’ fans in the comment sections!!!” He also explains how grateful he and Billie were to get nominated for the Grammys. Also said every artist out there did very well.
I got an interview with Andrea Zandate who said, ” I don’t think this was Beyonce’s best work, I think that Billie Eilish or Chappel Roan should have won Best Album of the Year.” Some people believed Beyoncé’s album wasn’t the hit of the year and that Billie Eilish’s album was one of the most amazing albums this year. I also got to interview Valeria Torres saying “I feel like Beyonce deserved this win, she has done so much in the music industry!” Other people believed Beyonce deserved this since she worked hard in her new album.
No matter the outcome of the Grammys, we shouldn’t be angry at who won. Both of these artists and many artists put their hearts into their albums. We should give them credit for that.
