As high school wraps up for many seniors, a few stand out not just for their grades, but for their positive attitudes, school spirit, and hard work. Zoe Vazquez is one of those students who truly shines. Whether she’s excelling on the varsity soccer and tennis teams or being an active member of the Class of 2025 Club, Zoe is always involved and giving her best. Her athleticism and teamwork make her an invaluable part of her school’s sports programs. Outside of sports, she’s equally committed, staying active in clubs like the Class of 2025 Club, where she enjoys helping and participating in events that bring students together. Zoe’s dedication and positive spirit make her a standout in every aspect of high school life!
In sports, Zoe has proven herself to be a team player. As a defender on the soccer field, she’s not just focused on her success, but on working with her teammates to achieve their goals together. Zoe’s leadership and drive set an example for her peers. One of her soccer teammates who prefers to not be named says she’s a good example: “Zoe has always been a hard worker, and I think what makes her stand out is how fun she is to be around. Whenever we’re having a hard game she knows how to lift us.”
On the tennis court, she brings the same level of intensity and teamwork, pushing herself to improve while encouraging her teammates to do the same. Her dedication to both sports shows her passion and work ethic. Zoe says, “I’m gonna be honest it’s hard to stay focused and not mess up, but with my teammates on my side I can have a lot of fun.” For Zoe, tennis is not just about the competition, but about building a sense of camaraderie and enjoying the process. She knows that when the team is united and everyone gives their best, the experience becomes more rewarding, no matter the outcome.
We all know high school can be tough, whether it’s balancing sports, academics, or personal challenges, it can sometimes feel overwhelming. When asked how she manages everything, Zoe said, “It’s been hard, I can’t lie, but my friends helped me get through it. I don’t know what I’d do without them.” Zoe’s friends have played a big part in keeping her balanced and focused, especially when things get tough. They remind her to take things one step at a time, whether studying together, talking things out, or just hanging out. Their support has been a huge help in getting her through any challenges.
Zoe’s friend who wishes to remain unnamed describes her as a “good and hardworking person” who gives her all in everything she does. “She’s someone you can always count on,” her friend says. “In sports and school, Zoe works hard and always tries her best. She’s always ready to help others, too.”
Looking back at her high school years, Zoe thinks about how much she’s changed since freshman year. If she could give her younger self some advice, it would be not to worry so much. She used to feel a lot of pressure, but now she knows relaxing and enjoying the ride is okay. “You don’t have to have everything figured out right away. Things will fall into place,” she says.
For incoming freshmen, Zoe suggests trying new things, making good friends, and staying on top of schoolwork. She also encourages them to ask for help when needed and remember that it’s okay to make mistakes along the way. Even though Zoe still feels a lot of pressure to excel, she’s learned that at the end of the day, she is proud of everything she’s accomplished.
Zoe’s ability to excel both in sports and clubs, while staying positive and grounded, is what makes her truly special. Whether she’s helping out in school organizations or pushing her limits on the field or court, Zoe shows everyone the power of hard work, passion, and perseverance. Her journey through high school is a true inspiration to all who know her.
