This month we are lucky to honor our HealthCare Assistant at South El Monte High School Mrs. Gidget. She has been helping our students get better whenever they need something. She always puts our students before herself and gives it her all to our students and our school. Let’s get to learn some facts about Mrs. Gidget!
Mrs. Gideget has been working at our nest for 11 years since January 11, 2014, and has connected with Ms. Karen De La Torres who has also been one of our staff of the month. But how did Mrs.Gidget and Ms.Karen De La Torres connect so fast? Here is how they became friends, “We have connected so much because we have many things in common. We were both born in Guadalajara Mexico, we have a daughter and a son, we like to travel, Ana Gabriel, and spend as much time together inside and outside of work” states Ms.Karen De La Torres. Now we can see how they became best friends. But Mrs.Gidget is someone who you can trust and count on.
The most important thing she likes about working at our school is helping our students. An interesting fact about Mrs. Gidget is that she attended Arroyo High School. “I was a good student and three-course student during high school,” she says. However, she wanted to be a Spanish teacher when she was younger.
Our HealthCare Assistant of course needs her free time and when she is not working she enjoys spending time with her family and going on vacations. Besides just being a health assistant she is a wonderful wife and mother, as she states, “My family is small since it’s just 4 of us but we know that spending time with with each other is the most important thing to do.” But Mrs. Gidget has a hero and that is her husband, “He has always put everyone first than himself.” But of course, she has some favorite things such as eating Mexican food, and the movie Finding Dory, and her favorite color is purple. She has some good taste in things.
Congratulations, Mrs. Gidget, on being selected as staff of the month. Thank you for all you have done for our school.
