It is an honor to highlight this amazing parent who works hard at making South El Monte High School a great place for both staff and students.  Mrs. Heredia is the proud mother of Genesis Iribe.  She enjoys “the opportunity to impact the lives of students” and is glad that she can “contribute to the success of the students”.  Mrs. Heredia states that she is involved in improving the “overall school experience” students have here at South El Monte High School.  She is constantly trying to improve herself by attending educational workshops and being involved in district committees.  Mrs. Heredia is not only a devoted parent but also serious about improving the lives of the people who live within our community. 

She is involved in multiple parent leadership events and groups on campus.  Mrs. Heredia also helps by educating other parents regarding the educational system and how they can help improve the lives of their son or daughters.  When asked what advice she has for other parents she states that they should”Show interest in your students learning by discussing what they are learning, and praising their efforts.”  Furthermore, she adds that they should “support your child’s involvement in clubs, sports, or other activities that align with their interests.”

The entire Eagle community is fortunate to have Mrs. Heredia as a parent leader.  We all benefit from her effort to ensure that students at South El Monte High School receive the best education possible.
