When we hear Apple, some people think of a bright red fruit, but others might think of something completely different. When thinking of Apple others might think of luxury, expensive, and advanced technology. While these words describe Apple, customers have high expectations if paying a high price. Apple’s products are pricey, they are very unique and minimalist.
Apple sells many products such as phones, tablets, computers, watches, earbuds, GPS trackers, TV boxes, VR goggles, and even various software and streaming services. While these products vary in price and utility they are all meant for different uses and all devices have their strengths and weaknesses. The most common device from Apple used in many daily lives is the iPhone.
Apple’s headquarters are located in Cupertino, California also known as Apple Park with its land reaching almost 3 million square feet. Although Apple seems very luxurious and appealing it wasn’t always like that. Apple’s establishment goes back to the early 1970s, the golden era of curiosity and technological advancement which lit up the ideas of young Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak. The first Apple computer was created in 1976 in Steve Jobs’ by founders Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak, and Ronald Wayne.
Apple wanted to make something portable where you could listen to music on a tactile screen and easy fast access to the internet, all in the palm of your hand. On June 29, 2007, Apple introduced something never seen before, it was called the iPhone. This was no regular phone at the time. The iPhone had a camera, a personal planner, a notebook, an alarm, and an entire computer with a touch screen all in one. This was just the beginning of something special. After this massive success then came the revolver of tablets called the iPad. After he departed from Apple due to health precautions on October 5, 2011, the company was struck massively by the passing of CEO Steve Jobs after health complications. There came Tim Cook to continue the role of Jobs and continue his legacy through the company.
Through the years many more revolutionary devices were released to the public such as the MacBook, Apple watch, Airpods, and most recently the Apple Vision Pro. Although the iPhone concept has been around for over a decade it still gets major new changes and features annually.
The iPhone has been around for over a decade and plays a part in millions of daily lives by connecting to relatives easily and quickly and allowing easy internet access. No matter how we use our iPhone, it sure has a big impact on our daily lives and changes how we live through its features and functionality.
South El Monte graduate Ashley Paredes agrees as she states, “My iPhone is a big part of my daily life as it’s always with me, whether it’s to contact my family or friends for emergencies or to watch TikTok or YouTube when I’m bored it sure does play a big role in my life.” Although iPhones are one of the market’s most pricey phones, they are unique and versatile in many ways and will forever be a major piece of Apple’s history and ecosystem.
