Homecoming season is around the corner, and the excitement is surreal! This annual tradition brings students together for a night of celebration and unforgettable memories. As you prepare for the big event, it’s time to think about your outfit, gather your friends, and plan your pre-game festivities. Whether you’re getting ready for the dance, the game, or both, a little preparation can ensure you have an amazing experience. Let’s explore how the students at SEMHS prepare for the big night!
Eventually, I had the opportunity to talk to our band member Bradley Pretzantzin. Bradley is a junior at SEMHS and is going to the homecoming game and dance. There are many things to prepare for, especially if you attend both events. However, I believe one of the most important things is what they’ll wear, this is not different for Bradley. When I asked him what he was wearing he said “At this moment, I don’t have any idea what I’ll be wearing to HOCO, but know that I will not be wearing a suit again, as it did look nice, it wasn’t the most comfortable thing”. I think we can all agree on that statement, I mean who wants to be uncomfortable at homecoming right? Aside from the dance, he is also looking forward to the game. Since he is in the band, he will be in the stands playing pep tunes with the rest of the band. The crowd can be thrilling and Bradley is looking forward to being a part of that experience. As you can see the vibrant atmosphere is what truly defines the essence of homecoming, creating lasting memories for everyone involved. Well, we hope Bradley has fun!
Furthermore, ASB member Riley Morales is also getting ready for a big night of fun and excitement. ASB is a time-consuming activity that can lead to a lot of emotions, so I wanted to know if she struggles with that. “I’m not a part of the cabinet so I’ve never had to struggle with things like that, but I do struggle with having to stay early and late in the night”. Riley is also attending both homecoming events and is very excited to attend them. “I’m on the drill team, so I’m excited to perform and go to the dance”. While she doesn’t know what she will wear yet, she looks forward to homecoming. Riley can hardly contain her excitement as homecoming gets closer. She loves the thrill of performing with her drill team and feels a rush every time she hits the stage. The chance to dance and celebrate with her friends makes it even better. Plus, she’s looking forward to all the fun moments at the dance afterward. For Riley, homecoming isn’t just an event; it’s a chance to create amazing memories that she’ll cherish for years to come. Being on the drill team shows how much she cares about school spirit, and she can’t wait to show off what she’s been practicing. With homecoming just around the corner, Riley’s excitement is building, capturing the fun that everyone feels as the big night approaches.
As homecoming gets closer, the excitement is building. Students at SEMHS are busy getting ready—decorating, picking outfits, and practicing for performances. All this prep makes everyone even more excited for the big night. It’s a fun time for friends to come together and enjoy themselves. In the end, all the effort leads to great memories that everyone will cherish.

I agree with you on how we should cherish everything because we won’t know when it will be our last.

I do agree with you that they should cherish those memories because we won’t always be able to have the same memories.
