ASB students are often doing so much for us and our school events that we often forget how much time and effort they have to put into them they make sure to make our school feel more enjoyable for students with fun days and events, like spirit week. It’s one of the things our ASB students are in charge of they make sure to brainstorm fun things to put in this week and see which ideas are the best for students to have fun with. We probably think ASB seems easy and not hard to handle but I’ve seen people waking up early at 5 a.m. just to come to school and prepare for an event. At times you will even have to stay after school and help out.
You need a lot of commitment and time to be in ASB.
I asked one of our ASB students to express and answer some of my questions about this topic. I wanted to know the most stressful thing about being in ASB as a student. I asked this question and my interviewee stated, “I think that the most stressful thing about being in ASB is coming up with creative ideas to make this school more fun and creative with students because not everyone shares the same tastes and ideas about different things.” I can see why this could be very stressful for them since they all have to agree on certain options. Another thing that I was curious about was if they had a favorite event they had to decorate, they then stated, “I did have a favorite event that we had to help decorate, it was for the pink out football game or the football games in general. I think putting up the decorations is so much fun.” I’m glad this type of event was enjoyable for them. The last question I wanted to ask them was if they felt overwhelmed by any type of event they said they didn’t, it is enjoyable for them to decorate any event but this is only one student’s opinion it doesn’t count for all of them.
Overall I think ASB students deserve more appreciation because of how much they do for us and our school. Not many students want to participate in school events like they do, or have the time to stay after school or wake up early in the morning. That’s why they deserve this appreciation they help our school be a fun and creative place for students to enjoy coming every day.

I agree with this article because ASB students dont get the recognition they deserve because they do a lot to make the school pretty with decorations. For example, “ASB students are often doing so much for us and our school events that we often forget how much time and effort they have to put into them they make sure to make our school feel more enjoyable for students with fun days and events, like spirit week.” This is important because in order for this to happen they have to wake up even before the sun comes up to come and decorate the school. Every assembly or spirit week they really show they take their time with decorations because its beautiful each time. The author wants the readers to realize that ASB isnt just a free period but its a class that takes commitment and dedication. In conclusion, its important to acknowledge and respect the things ASB does to make our school more uplifting and school spirit.

I agree with this article because ASB students put in lots of effort to make this school look great for events and many other things. According to, Regina Zambrano “ASB students are often doing so much for us and our school events that we often forget how much time and effort they have to put into them they make sure to make our school feel more enjoyable for students with fun days and events.” This shows how ASB students can sometimes not be appreciated for all the hard work and time they put into this school. The message that the author is trying to convey is that ASB needs more appreciation and gratitude for what they do. In conclusion, ASB should just be more appreciated.

Was this interview done anonymously and was this more than one person being asked? Is the Contributor an ASB member? That would be good if it was clarified, as to why the sources were not named.

This article is important because it talks about how ASB is stressful, and how they deserve more. For example, when Regina Zambrano said “ we probably think ASB seems easy and not hard to handle but I’ve seen people waking up early at 5 a.m. just to come to school and prepare for an event. At times you will even have to stay after school and help out.” This demonstrates how overworked ASB members are with little to no recognition. Additionally, the author wants the reader to understand how important ASB is to school and the things they do for the school. In summary, this shows why this article is important because it talks about how stressful, and under appreciated they are.

In this article I agree with the author’s argument that ASB deserves more. For example, “We probably think ASB seems easy and not hard to handle but I’ve seen people waking up early at 5 a.m. just to come to school and prepare for an event. At times you will even have to stay after school and help out.” One can see from this on how much it must take out of the ASB kids. It seems the author’s goal is to help get more praise and rewards for being in ASB. To conclude, this article I agree with because of how much work the ASB kids do for us.

This article talks about the ASB students and how they deserve more recognition. The author, Regina explains to us why ASB students deserve more by saying “It’s one of the things our ASB students are in charge of they make sure to brainstorm fun things to put in this week and see which ideas are the best for students to have fun with”. This helped me learn how ASB students are the ones making the school more fun, this helped me realize how they deserve more recognition. In other words this article brings out the different ideas that the ASB students have done to make the school more enjoyable. In conclusion this article is very helpful for letting other people learn about the ASB students and their accomplishments.

I agree with Regina Zambrano because ASB students are hardworking and aren’t appreciated enough. For example, Regina says “ ASB students are often doing so much for us and our school events that we often forget how much time and effort they have to put into them. They make sure to make our school feel more enjoyable for students with fun days and events, like spirit week.” This shows how the ASB students will use up their time just for us to have a good time when the event comes. The author proves that ASB students aren’t respected enough for the countless hours and days they put into making a school event. All in all, these students make up for a huge part of the school and don’t get the recognition they deserve.

The main idea of this article is that ASB students, in accordance with their hard work, should be shown more appreciation. Zambrano explains, “We probably think ASB seems easy and not hard to handle but I’ve seen people waking up early at 5 a.m.” This exemplifies the spirit of hard work. One can see from this that the work ASB members put in to ensure students have fun does not come without a bit of sacrifice. To summarize, ASB students deserve to be respected and appreciated for the effort they put into the students of SEMH.

This article is important because ASB deserves more attention and gratitude for the things they do. In the article it stated, “We probably think ASB seems easy and not hard to handle but I’ve seen people waking up early at 5 a.m. just to come to school and prepare for an event” This shows just how much dedication ASB has to wake up before the sun rises. It’s important to realize that many of our events have been thanks to ASB we wouldn’t be able to have any it had it not been for ASB’s hard work. In summary ASB deserves more recognition for everything they do for our school.

It’s important for people at SEMHS to start recognizing what ASB brings to the school because ASB students have to be on campus at 5 a.m. to set up for school events. For example, Regina Zambrano says “We probably think ASB seems easy and not hard to handle but I’ve seen people waking up early at 5 a.m. just to come to school and prepare for an event.” This is important because I’ve heard many students say that ASB is just a free period to mess around, and actually being in the ASB class it’s not just a free period. Every Tuesday/Wednesday we have meetings to plan for future events and decide what we want to do. Regina Zambrano wants the readers to know that it takes a lot of time and commitment to be a part of the ASB class/club. In summary, it’s important for students to acknowledge all the work asb students put into our campus.
